I-12, I-59 work should be completed by Nov. 15

COVINGTON n Work will resume Nov. 12 and is expected to be completed the following weekend on the I-12 eastbound to I-59 northbound off-ramp, according to the Louisiana Department of Transpor-tation and Development.

The area will be closed for repairs from 6 p.m. Nov. 12 to 6 a.m. Nov. 15 and motorists should expect delays for the duration of the project. Motorists traveling form I-12 eastbound to I-59 northbound may utilize the following detour route during the off-ramp closures: I-12 eastbound to I10 eastbound to I-59.

The Department of Transportation and Development began work Nov. 4, with the lanes closing for repairs Nov. 4 from 8 p.m. to 6 a.m. Nov. 5, and again Nov. 5 from 6 p.m. until 6 a.m. Nov. 8.

Motorists are advised to visit DOTD's website, www.dotd.louisiana.gov, or to contact the project engineer's office in Covington at 893-6367 for current project information.
