Guineve Talley Adams

Guineve Talley Adams, born February 11, 1925, was received into Life Eternal at 4 p.m. on July 17, 2008, when she lost her bravely fought battle with Pulmonary Fibrosis.

Guineve was a dearly beloved wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

She is survived by her husband, Mr. J.C. Adams of Bogalusa, La. and five devoted children: Mr. James Maurice Smith, and Mr. Michael M. Smith of Bogalusa, La; Mrs. Dorothy (James) Cliburn of Jackson, Miss.; Mrs. Kathy (Charles) Grosche of Bogalusa, La; and Mr. Marshall Glynn Smith of Nashville, Tenn.

She is also survived by two sisters, Mrs. Wilson (Floye) Richardson and Mrs. Colleen Hall Moran and one brother, Mr. Travis (wife, Rhonda) Talley, all of Bogalusa, La.

She is survived by seven grandchildren: Mrs. Tammy Cliburn (Mike) Morrow of Jackson, Miss.; Ms. Lisa Sharp of Gulf Breeze, Fla.; Ms. Cherie Smith (Bryan Genco) of Bogalusa, La; Mr. John Sharp of Baton Rouge, La; Mr. Buddy Cliburn of Jackson, Miss.; Mr. Stephen Smith of Crossroads, Miss.; and Mr. Scott Wheat of Crossroads, Miss; and three great grandchildren: Caleb Ott, Micah Ott and Jay Cliburn, all of Jackson, Miss.

Mrs. Adams was preceded in death by her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike (Maude) Talley; one granddaughter, Miss Krystal Lynn Sharp; one great grandson, Matthew Ryan Morrow; and one brother, Mr. Talmadge Talley.

Her family will receive friends and loved ones from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Saturday, July 19, 2008 at Poole Ritchie Funeral Home and again from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. on Sunday, July 20, 2008.

Funeral Service will be at 2 p.m., Sunday, July 20, 2008 in the Chapel of Poole Ritchie Funeral Home, followed by interment at Isabel Baptist Church Cemetery in Isabel, La. The Rev. Ronald Wilson will officiate.
