Barbara Carol Comans, 57, passed away on July 16, 2008 at her residence in Bogalusa.

She is survived by her husband, David Comans of Bogalusa; her children, Sherri “Suzie” (David) Spillman; David Lee (Lorena) Comans; Glinda “Gi” (James) Riley; and James (Bonnie) Comans, all of Bogalusa.

She is also survived by five sisters: Betty Norman of Elco, Ill; Bonnie Pinter of Elco, Ill; Mary Brimm of Cairo, Ill; Marie Comans of Pearl, Miss. and Karen Hedge of Tifton, Ga; a brother, James Edward Morrow of Ullin, Ill; and seven grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Teresa Marie Comans; her father, Martin Hedge; her mother, Hattie Hedge Morrow; a sister, Rita Comstock; and five brothers: Bub Hedge, Curtis Hedge, Alvin Hedge, Donald Hedge and Tommy Hedge.

Visitation will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Friday, July 18. The funeral service will be held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home Chapel at 11 a.m. on Saturday, July 19, with interment to follow at Ponemah Cemetery in Bogalusa. The Rev. David Pigott will officiate.
