Ester Lee Jenkins

Ester Lee Jenkins, 91, a native of Tylertown, Miss. and a long-time resident of Bush, died at the L.S.U. Medical Center in Bogalusa on Wednesday, July 16, 2008.

A homemaker, she was a dedicated wife for 58 years and a dear friend to all who knew her. She was a member of the Talley’s Chapel Pentecostal Church in Sun.

She is survived by a son, Trusty Jenkins of Bush; a daughter, Carolyn (Dennis) Thomas of Bush; two brothers, L.C. Terrell of Bush and Ubert Terrell of Sun; five grandchildren and five great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Martin Terrell and Ollie Ball; her husband, James A. Jenkins; two brothers, Dalcus and Johnny Terrell; and one sister, Lola Mallett.

Visitation will be held today, Friday, July 18, at the funeral home from 5 p.m. to 10 p.m., continuing Saturday morning from 8 a.m. until service time. Funeral services will be held in the chapel of Brown McGehee Funeral Home, Bogalusa, on Saturday, July 19 at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Stanley Talley and Rev. Randall Magee officiating. Interment will be in the Talley’s Chapel Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Sun.
