Were you born here? If not, where, and how did you end up in Washington Parish?

I was born in St. James Parish and followed my family up here about 20 years ago.

Who made a major impact on your life and why?

My brother, Tommy. He passed away in 2001. He was loyal. That’s what he taught me-loyalty. And he was free-spirited.

What do you love about Washington Parish?

It’s countrified, if you don’t mind it. That and the people.

What are you doing that’s good?

Just helping people when I see that there’s a need.

Do you have a current pet peeve or is there something that can drive you crazy?

No. I deal with my own demons.

What do you do in your spare time?

I read, take long drives on the back roads and enjoy the outdoors.

A favorite food:

Seafood.

A good book you’ve read:

“Papillon.” (By Henri Charriere)

What was the last movie you watched?

“I am Legend.”

A favorite smell:

Magnolias.

What was the last music you listened to?

I like ‘80s music, U2 and stuff like that. I’m a product of the ‘80s.

What’s the best thing about you?

I try to be there when you need me.

What would you like to say to everybody?

Take care of those right around you. Take care of your family. Life is short.
