“Tub,” as Gary was known to all of his friends, was a very avid outdoorsman, relishing in every opportunity to inflict his many years of acquired skill on the fish and wildlife of Louisiana and Mississippi, from perch to reds and specs, from doves to bucks. Gary and many of his friends were also past members of Explorer Post 182 under the leadership of Rand Porter during Post’s several year reigns as champions in the annual Bogue Chitto River Canoe Marathon.
Gary is survived by his mother, Louvre Alexander of Bogalusa, his brother and sister-in-law, Mark and Linda Alexander of Waterford, Connecticut, his brother and sister-in-law, Andy and Carla Alexander of Covington, his sister and brother-in-law, Karen and Donald Remson of Jefferson Hills, Pennsylvania, and his friend, Shannon Fornea of Bogalusa. Also, Nanna-boo, who held a special place in his heart.
