Mary Evelyn Farr Moore, age 77, a resident of Bogalusa, passed away on May 24 at the LSU Bogalusa Medical Center.

She is survived by a daughter, Peggy Sue Phillips of Palmetto, La.; four sons, James W. Moore II of Amarillo, Texas; Bobby Lynn Moore of Kansas; Willie John Moore of Walker and James W. Moore III of Bogalusa; five sisters: Esther Leaoma Corona of Sun, Hilda Wheat of Magee, Miss., Ernestine Seals of Poplarville, Miss., Katherine Crain of Petal, Miss. and LaDonna Thomas of Bogalusa; 12 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by one son, Billy Wayne Moore; one daughter, Donna Lou Ringo; her parents, Homer and Cleavel Farr; two brothers, Cecil Ray Farr and James Farr.

Visitation was held at Poole-Ritchie Funeral Home on Tuesday, May 26 from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m., continuing on Wednesday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral services at 2 p.m., with Rev. Travis L. Houston officiating. Interment will follow at Crossroads Pentecostal Church Cemetery in Crossroads, Miss.
