James Curtis “J.C.” Harry, age 72, departed this life on Saturday, June 13 at Gulf States LTAC of Bogalusa. He was a Bogalusa resident.

He is survived by his wife, Barbara Robertson of Bogalusa; two sons, Ricardo (Craynetheia) Harry of Rowlett, Texas and Darryl (Shawanda) Robertson of Bogalusa; three daughters: Anita (Gregory) Howard of Port Arthur, Texas, Samantha Harry (Robert) Lane of Covington and Carmeletta Guy of Covington; five sisters: Mary Louis (Robert) Smith of Angie; Eddie Merl (Roland) Bickham of Houston; Ellen Gean (Richard) Mathews of Houston; Jerri Dean (Rudolph) Thompson of Houston and Annie Lee Lucas of Prentiss, Miss.; six brothers: Johnnie Lee (Claudzella) Robinson of Houston; Clarence Harry of Houston; Billy Wayne (Tasha) Robinson of Angie; Frankie (Francis) Robinson of Atlantic City, N.J.; Leroy (Maria) Robinson and Charles (Regina) Robinson, all of Chicago; 11 grandchildren, two great-grandchildren, a special grandson, Joshua Lavon Robertson of Bogalusa; and special friends Paul Morris of Bogalusa and Jerry Crosby of Franklinton; and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by two sons: Reginald and Christopher Robertson; his mother, Nancy Owens Richard; his father, Curtis Harry; his stepfather, Johnnie Robinson; two sisters, Ethel Williams Harry and Pearlie Robinson Boyd; and two brothers, Ezekiel Robinson and Levy Robinson.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 17 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m., with a wake service from 7 p.m. until 9 p.m.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday at 2 p.m. at St. Paul A.M.E. Church, 420 Church St. in Bogalusa, with Rev. R. L. Palmer Jr., pastor, officiating. Interment will follow at the Moses Cemetery in Angie.
