Reduce the number of administrative employees at City Hall, according to readers who responded to an unscientific poll posted on The Daily News Web site, gobogalusa.com.
That answer received 83 votes, which comes to 28 percent of the 299 votes cast.

Reducing the number of administrative employees to overcome the city’s $1.5 million debt is an option championed by City Councilman Danny Stogner and others.
Coming in second among poll responders was “Implement a water-meter system,” which garnered 69 votes, or 23 percent.
The No. 3 answer, gaining 57 votes at 19 percent, was: “All these ideas are bad; we need to think of something else.”
Rounding out the top five responses were: “All the above” with 29 votes at 10 percent, and “Lay off city workers” with 26 votes at 9 percent.
Among the other answers: “Turn off every other street light” netted 12 votes, “Increase city taxes” got 10 votes, “Close a fire station” and “Increase the cost for garbage pick-up” both received four votes, and “Increase the sewage fee” got three votes.
Ranking as the least favorable answer was “Reduce the number of police officers” with two votes.
