Hollis Peters, 87, died on Sunday, June 28 at Rest Haven Living Center in Bogalusa. He was a resident of Angie.

Survivors include his wife, Edgie L. Peters; two sons, Willie (Iness) Peters of Angie and Hollis (Angela) Peters; three daughters: Helen Weary of Varnado, Theresa Peters and Donice Owens, both of Angie; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild; two sisters-in-law: Ella Rose Guider of Chicago and Nurcille Holmes of Bogalusa; three brothers-in-law: Paul (Louis) Morris of Bogalusa, Delaurl (Janice) Morris of Houston and Anthony (Anita) Morris of Varnado; a daughter-in-law, Rose Peters of Angie; and a son-in-law, John L. Williams of Angie.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Peters and idella Peters; a son, Jessie Earl Peters; a daughter, Lynn Doris Williams; two grandsons, John Neal Williams and Rev. Derrick Williams; a son-in-law, Charles Ray Weary Sr.; a great-grandson, five brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be on Thursday, July 2 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home of Bogalusa from 2 p.m. until 7 p.m.

Funeral services will he held on Friday at Wesley Ray United Methodist Church in Angie at 12 noon, with Rev. Terrance August officiating. Interment will follow in Jefferson Cemetery in Angie.
