Mr. H P Thomas, 80 years old of Robert, died Wednesday, July 1 in Lakeview Regional Medical Center.

He was born on Wednesday, February 6, 1929, in Tylertown, Mississippi, son of the late Dave and Leta Haley Thomas.

Surviving are his four children: Harold (Stacey) Thomas, James (Tammy) Thomas, Elizabeth (Randall) Jenkins and Gerald (Lois) Thomas; 11 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and three sisters: Norah Byrd, Ouida Thomas and Betty Jo Breath.

He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Willie June Thomas; sisters, Edith Dupuy and Vida Vaughn; and brothers, David, Royce and Vernon Thomas.

Friends will be received Friday, July 3, from 6 p.m. until 10 p.m. and on Saturday, from 8 a.m. until 11 a.m. at the Harry McKneely & Son Funeral Home in Ponchatoula.

Services will be held in the funeral home chapel on Saturdayat 11 a.m.

Interment will follow in the Bankston Cemetery in Hammond.
