Josepha Morgan Jones

Josepha Morgan Jones, 84, died at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 11, 2009 at her residence in Franklinton.

She was a retired aide at Southeast Louisiana Hospital in Mandeville and a member of Canaan Baptist Church.

She is survived by three sons: Shelby L. (Brenda) Jones, Robbie Jones and Theresa Goings, Michael Jones, all of Franklinton; two daughters: Peggy J. (Wayne) Verberne of Kentwood and Paulette J. (Ben) Sarro of Franklinton; two brothers: Durward Morgan of Franklinton and Nathan Morgan of Amite; one sister: Johnnie Ruth Crowe of Franklinton; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by father of her children, Shelby Jones, two sons, Ricky Jones and Randy Jones and a daughter, Rebecca Jones.

Visitation was held on Wednesday, Aug. 12 from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and continued on Thursday from 9 a.m. until time for the funeral service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel. Rev. Stanley Adams and Dr. Gene Richards officiated and burial followed in the Bonner Creek Church Cemetery.
