Aaron Cornelius Griffin

Aaron Cornelius Griffin, 68, died Tuesday, Sept. 1, 2009 at St. Tammany Parish Hospital in Covington. He was a resident of Bogalusa.

He is survived by his wife, Evelyn Griffin of Bogalusa; two sons: Samuel Keith Griffin of Tunica, Miss. and Renard Haynes of St. Louis, Mo.; three daughters: Shemaka Griffin Adams of Hammond, Sabrina (Joseph) Holmes of LaPlace and adopted daughter Danielle Phillips Fields of Bogalusa; one sister, Shirley Johnson of Bogalusa; 11 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ruth Mae Griffin and Aaron Henry Griffin; one son, Aaron C. Griffin II; a sister, Elizabeth Halton and a son-in-law, Ike D. Adams.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, Sept. 5 at Crain and Sons Funeral Home from 10 a.m. until time for the funeral service in the funeral home chapel at 2:30 p.m., with Pastor Clayton Bullock officiating. Interment will follow in Bogalusa Cemetery.
