Edith Marie Culbreath Edith Marie Culbreath, 79, died Friday, Sept. 11, 2009 at her home in Bush. She was a native of Leitchfield, Ky. and was a member of New Beginning Baptist Church in Bush. She worked at Double D Meat Company in Bogalusa for many years. She was a loving wife, mother and a dear friend to all. She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Herbert Culbreath of Bush; one son, Herbert O. “Hub” Culbreath of Franklinton; three daughters, Shelia (Truman) Owens and Patricia (Roy) Snyder, both of Bush and Jennifer (Curtis) Waldrop of Woolmark, Miss.; a brother, Jim Tomes; two sisters, Goldie Berkley and Dalphine Brown; seven grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Gillard and Effie Farris Tomes, three grandchildren and three brothers. Visitation was held Monday, Sept. 14 at Brown-McGehee Funeral Home from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. Funeral services were held Tuesday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Otha Schilling officiating. Interment was in the Grantham Cemetery in Bush.
