Willie Darrell Kuhn Sr., 76, a resident of Denham Springs, passed away at 3:29 p.m. Friday, Oct. 16, 2009, at the War Veteran's Home in Reserve. A native of Bogalusa, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He in Watson for 37 years and if you knew him, he would tell you that, "he was a jack of all trades but a master of none." He was a retired electrician and a member of Local 995 for 41 years and a good ole country boy who loved hunting and fishing.
He is survived by his wife, Linda Kuhn, of Denham Springs; daughter, Mechell Kuhn Rathbun; sons, Michael, Willie Darrell Jr. and Christopher Kuhn, of Denham Springs; brothers, Richard, James and Donald Kuhn, of Bogalusa; sisters, Wilda Lott, of Springfield, Gladys Jenkins, of Angie, and Francis Duncan, of White Sands, Miss.; eight grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and five sisters.
Visitation was held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Sunday, Oct. 18, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. and resumed on Monday from 9 a.m. until service at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel, officiated by the Rev. Terry Booth. Burial followed in Amite Baptist Church Cemetery, Denham Springs.
