Miss Emily Rose Hawk celebrates second birthday

Emily Rose Hawk, 2-year-old daughter of Michael and Tracie Hawk of Maynardville, Tenn., celebrated her Oct. 24th birthday at the home of Ted and Shirley Mizell, her PaPaw and MaMaw. She enjoyed a Dora the Explorer birthday cake, along with punch, chips, dip, hot dogs and chili.

Emily Rose received many nice gifts from the guests present for her party, including her parents, MaMaw and PaPaw, and Grandma and Pops, Richard and Mildred Keith of Greenville, Miss., aunt Vernell Mullins of Garland, Texas, uncle Bill and Linda Jones, Paul and Paula Jones, Macy Mizell, aunt Jane Mizell, Nick and Betty Lambert.

Veterans Day program at Byrd Avenue Elementary

Faculty and students at Byrd Avenue Elementary School in Bogalusa presented a Veterans Day Program Wednesday morning. Veterans who attended were recognized and treated to breakfast following the program.
