City police have arrested two teenagers and expect to arrest one more person for a home burglary where the thieves got away with an arsenal of rifles, handguns and ammunition.

Arrested in the burglary case were Logan Crain, 17, and a 16-year-old juvenile whose name was not released, BPD said Tuesday.

Police also have a warrant for Corey A. Dykes, 20, but police have not arrested him yet due to medical reasons, BPD Capt. Joe Culpepper said.

Police have recovered 16 of the weapons that were stolen in Jan. 11 Bogalusa burglary. Some of the weapons have not been recovered, said Culpepper, adding more details of the case will be released today.

Additional information will be made available as the investigation continues, he said.

For now, anyone with information on the incident is urged to call the BPD at any time at 732-BUST or 732-3611, or at 732-6238 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. Callers may remain anonymous.

" I am so shocked at what I have just read from what, I am assuming is, grown adults. Cholly, I cannot believe in your first comment you said something so ignorant as, "the parents should be arrested too," or "it should be a crime to have children this stupid." I do not know who you are or how old you are, but that was one of the most immature things I have seen. I was raised in Bogalusa, and I know every one of these boys and two of their parents. I also know the man whose home was broken into. The parents of the children that I know are very good people. I am sure if we shook every one of your closets, several skeletons would fall out. We have ALL done stupid things in our young years. So before you start bad mouthing CHILDREN, step back and take a look at yourself. These kids are someones baby. They are someones brother or sister, and someones grandchild. They are loved very much by a lot of people.Yes, they do deserve to be punished for their crime and the mistake that they made. However, they do NOT deserve to be talked about like they are murderers. I know that NONE of these boys are in jail except for one, which is Logan. Logan is the ONLY one that did not have anything to do with it. He knew that the boys did it; however, He never touched a gun or anything in that house for that matter. He got arrested for simply knowing about it. Yet the other boys pretty much got off completely free. Nothing is being done to the boys that physically went into the house and stole the guns or the girl that the paper fails to mention that drove these teenagers to the house and away from it. The police in Bogalusa are NOT doing their job. They never have, and they never will. They simply wanted to be able to say that they arrested someone. The teenagers in Bogalusa are surrounded by nothing but drugs and trouble, and I know that first hand. There are drugs at school, at parks, in front of your house etc. They are everywhere. These young adults have nothing to do in this town. They think that a normal weekend consists of all piling into a car and riding around town while drinking and taking pills until they cannot see straight anymore. Getting out of that town was the best thing that I have ever done. Nothing is improving in Bogalusa. The law enforcement is RIDICULOUS. It is terrifying that all is takes to become a police officer now is to pretty much throw a uniform on. There are pounds of drugs coming and going in and out of Bogalusa every day and going straight into the hands of children. Bogalusa is a candy store of drugs and the BPD and other law enforcement refuses to do anything about it because about 75% of them are drug users themselves. Something seriously needs to be done. The mayor needs to worry about his crumbling town instead of smiling for the camera while cutting the ribbon for the grand opening of yet another drug store. If not him, SOMEONE do your job. PLEASE. Do what taxpayers pay you to do! These kids don't have a chance, and it is truly sad that our children's futures are severely at risk and all we can do is name call . I thanks GOD that I got out of that place when I did, and I feel sorry for anyone still there.. young or old. "
