Charles Patrick Fagan, 62, a resident of Independence, died at 11:30 p.m. Friday, Feb. 5, 2010 at North Oaks Medical Center in Hammond.

Born Nov. 2, 1947, he was a U.S. Army veteran during the Vietnam Era and worked as a mechanic and in construction.

The family is so thankful for the support and fellowship of friends who helped Charlie overcome troubles in his life and they are very proud of the family bonds that have been strengthened and shared during the last several years. Charlie recently rekindled his love for painting and his artistic expressions are now adorning the homes of family and friends. He was a caring friend to those who needed it most and forever a loving husband, father, and grandfather.
