During her first year of law school, Robbins won the Best Brief Award among first-year students. She was later selected to serve as brief writer for U.T. Law’s American Bar Association Moot Court team, which won a regional championship in Miami and went on to compete nationally in Chicago in 2009. Robbins also competed in U.T. Law’s Gibbs & Bruns Moot Court Competition in 2009.
Based on her academic achievement and writing ability, Robbins was selected, after her first year, for membership on the Texas Law Review, a publication devoted to scholarly writing in the legal field that maintains a student editorial board. She was an associate editor on the Texas Law Review and also served as a member of the Texas Rules of Form Committee. Her student research note, titled “Soul Searching and Profit Seeking: Reconciling the Competing Goals of Islamic Finance,” was selected for publication in the Texas Law Review’s April 2010 issue.
