YouthBuild Bogalusa (YBB), an educational program of The NorthShore Technical College Sullivan Campus for young people ages 16-24 who have not completed high school, was selected as a National Mentoring Alliance Office of Juvenile Justice and Delinquency Prevention (OJJDP) sub-grant awardee.

Through this endeavor, each YBB student will be matched with a caring adult who, along with parents, guardians, and/or spouses, provides a young person with support, counsel, friendship, reinforcement, and positive example to ensure successful navigation through life’s obstacles

YBB offers opportunities to develop and enhance academic, technical and life skills. Those who qualify take the General Education Development (GED) examination and other technical examinations to earn career related certifications.
